Societe Generale Bank & Trust: New representative office in Germany

02/04/2019

Societe Generale Bank & Trust has the pleasure in announcing today that its private banking activities are expanding their local footprint in Germany with the opening of a representation office in Frankfurt.

This step is in line with the Societe Generale Private Banking international network strategic plan, which aims to accelerate growth in its key European domestic markets from Luxembourg.  Following the opening of a representative office in Milan in 2017, this move shows the ambitions of Societe Generale Private Banking in the strongest wealth management market in the EU.

Petra Mennong has been named Head of German Private Banking representative office of Societe Generale Bank & Trust and will lead this activity in Frankfurt. She has previously worked at UBS Deutschland AG and was part of the management of Vontobel and the bank Safra-Sarasin Germany. Her main activities will include working closely with private investors, with which she has built up a strong network.

Jeanne Duvoux, Head of Societe Generale Private Banking Luxembourg commented: “I am delighted that Societe Generale’s Private Banking activities in Germany, a country that we believe will be important in our future success, are bolstered. The investment in Germany responds to growing market demand from HNWIs and UNHWIs.”

“I am very happy to welcome the new representative office in Frankfurt. The Societe Generale Private Banking offer will complement our existing service portfolio and expertise  in Germany with an integrated wealth and succession planning, asset management, investment advice, trading desk, structuring including funds administration and insurance solutions”, added Guido Zoeller, Group Country Head for Germany & Austria.
